The Timeline of History

The age of Creation
Years 0-999
a. Gods create Kinthur, though still without name.  The Seven gods soon attain dominance over the others.
The Gods' Wars
Years 1000-1999
During this time, the gods walked Kinthur and all that was created was destroyed just as quickly.  Many gods came and fought for the lands and many gods were slain.  It was a thousand years of battle before the seven gods of Kinthur formed the Covenant.  
     *The Covenant:  No god shall walk the world in pure form.  No god shall directly battle another deity in the prime material world.  No god shall directly influence the Chosen of another.  All gods must obey by the rules of the Council of Seven.  Every thousand years the gods shall allow a battle of their champions.  To the victors shall go a thousand years of uninterrupted rule.  
     *To this day, the millennial battles have been draws, with the gods of neutrality holding the
balance between Good and Evil.  Evil kept just at bay and Good just shy of victory.

The Age of Magic and Men
Years 3000-3999
As man grew in power and number, so did civilization.  Man sought the answers to the universe and the power to harness that universe.  Magic was strong and young and wild.

a.        The Wild mages:
     It has been suggested that a wild mage created Calthos Caverns when a spell went awry, but truth be told the fault lay with the Calthos dwarves and their poor craftsmanship, a Wild mage simply brought down their house of cards.  A Wild mage is one who attempts to tap the
power of the weave and cast a spell without any preparation.  It might be said that a Wild mage
has sorcerer envy.  They were all wild mages in the 3rd Millennium, as magic was new and
unlearned.
     
b.        Ozark
     Ozark was a genius before his time, but he had a weakness for strong women.  While married to a woman powerful in the arts he had an affair with a neighboring Queen, who was also a mage.  When the affair was discovered a three-way mage battle ensued.  The magic that was tapped and released caused the death of everyone in the kingdom.  The dying spell of Ozark gave each person, whether peasant or noble, a grave, a tomb stone and touch of magic.  For many years the ghosts of a kingdom haunted a land, which stayed untouched until the arrival of Penta-Ka-Wa in the Age of Strife.
     
c.        The Gold Wizards
These self-styled wizards took power and control of kingdoms and used them as playthings.   They were dubbed the Gold Wizards because of the gold thread that they adorned themselves with.  Though their power was great it was not to last.  The uprising of the other races brought their kind to their knees.  It is Legend though that a single Gold Wizard showed mercy and kindness and was spared his life in exchange for seven thousand years of imprisonment, but that… is just a legend.
The Age of Elves and Dwarves
Years 4000-4999
a.        Celestial Elves arrived in Kinthur
b.        Mithril Kingdom- Time of Completion - 4675 s.b. Mithril Castle
c.        The Kingdom of Caverns- Time of Betrayal - 4700 s.b.-some of the kingdom of Caverns was carved from the caverns of Calthos
The Dark Age
Years 5000-5999
rebellion of men & rise of the evil races  
a.        Birth of Noir 5234
b.        March of the Trolls
c.        Orcs on the Move- the orcs were lead by Orkber a half orc with enhanced intelligence.  He led a legion of orcs against the elven Star City and was destroyed by Tremayne Silvanus, the elven Knight, in the Calthos Caverns.
d.        Crusade of the Kobolds- Lead by a Kobold sorcerer of unprecedented power the Kobolds sent wave after wave of soldiers across the land.  Their defeat has earned them the ire of races everywhere.  Few take the creatures seriously, though after the quake, many new sorcerers have appeared.
The Golden Age of Peace
Years 6000-6999

a.        The City-treaty of Elves, Dwarves and Humans (Later to add halflings, gnomes, Lizard men and Lawful Undead

 b.        The blasphemy of Noir- construction of the Northern city-state of Dhaman

The Age of Kings
Years 7000-7999
a.        Founding of the kingdom of Valiance
b.        Many men rose to become good kings across the land.  Feudalism reaches its peak.
The Age of Mystery
Years 8000-8999
a.        Much has been lost about this time, though rumor says (isn’t there always a rumor?) that the histories are in the Arcane Library from the City.
The Age of Heroes
Years 9000-9999
You had to be there. It was freaken great.
The Age Strife
Years  10,000-present
a.        10,070 The Great Quake: Kinthur’s first recorded Quake caused a surge in the magical Weave as well as a burst of power along ley lines and within the minds of psionists everywhere. The High Sorcerers were greatly harmed and mortally wounded, but the surge brought about a new breed of sorcerers (i.e. 3rd edition).  The burst of psionic energy nullified most, if not all, psionicists leaving them without the abilities they had grown so powerful with.
