Monsters

Some DM's may argue that the best way to get a feel for a D&D world is to see the villains and monsters that the heroes must face.  After all, what would Beowulf be without Grendal ? What is Batman without the Joker?  In response to this measure of a world I hope to spotlight some of the more interesting monstrous races, beasts and animals here.  To help categorize the difference between a monster and a race (see home page), a monster will be defined as any species which is normally forbidden to players and one which they are more likely to do battle with than form alliances.  They are presented here in no particular order (though I hope to alphabetize them eventually).  Feel free to request entries on your favorite monsters.
