Kwatellali

This city has become the center of trade for a huge area.  Its age and form of government (governed by a council, members elected by residence, ruled by a triumvirate) has kept it relatively free of both crime and corruption.  The many outlying farming communities produce food to be sold in the city.  The city receives goods from upriver from a dwarven kingdom and goods from a down river city, which has a harbor, C-port City.
Within the walled city of Kwatellali many goodly faiths practice openly.  Artisans, craftsmen and sages are easily found and employed in this bustling city.  A community of spell casters is also within and has even opened a small guild school.... the Magi Academe.  Sitting among the city members that rule over Kwatellali is a powerful Sorcerer who, while seen on the streets is seldom social, but he is looked upon as the one responsible for protection the city from magical corruption. His name is Kalamar he heads the Mage Guild. Lady Sebastian is the bureaucratic organizer of the city. Together they rule the city. With the council forming the laws, Kalamar enforcing them and Lady Sebastian handling the every day working of the city.
The population of the city of Kwatellali is estimated between 1,500,000 and 1,550,000.  It takes an entire day to tour the main streets and a person could spend a decade there and not see all of it.
Practicing openly are several faiths of lawful goodness; The Church of the Almighty, The Temple of Helm, lead by Father Cileas, The Church of Krar is lead by the High Lord Beszrik, The Order of the White Lady lead by Lady Deralta III. Also among the faiths are ones of neutral alignment; the seekers of knowledge, the Church of Gilean that is lead by Scholar Pilase and The Order of In’tak lead by the Thistle Sisters.
There are also the Adventurer’s, the Mage’s, the Merchant’s, the Farmer’s and the Worker’s Guilds, each of which works toward the benefit of its members.  Membership information is publicly available as are all city laws and statutes at city hall.
